CAMPAIGNS
Creating and playing campaigns is for advanced players. Experienced players may try out one or two of the scenarios in the rulebook to find out how a campaign can be created. If you succeed in playing a campaign and reach the highest level, than you might want to create a campaign of your own. Or, the other way around, it is also possible to create your own scenario/campaign to be able to finish the mission successfully. Countdown special ops gives you the opportunity to set up your own campaign. Create your own campaign from a serie of three missions. Before the start of the first mission the players select the different locations (level 1, 2 and 3) or randomly draw one location from each level. The 90 threat cards are used to create one threat deck. The level 1 threat cards on top and the level 3 threats on the bottom. Each mission the level of the threat cards goes up and it gets harder for the special ops to end a mission succesfully. On the other hand, a campaign is being played with 4 support cards with special features that may help the team on the critical moment. Experienced players may create their own campaign, choose the type of targets, etc...

SCENARIOS
More structure is given by the scenarios in the rulebook of Countdown special ops. The designers have created three specific scenarios with increasing difficulty levels. From operation Ace to operation Civilization, the locations and the starting threat levels get harder and harder. If you and your team has succeeded in reaching the end goals (+1 mission score or more at the end of a mission) you can be called a hero and it is about time that you created your own scenario/campaign.

SHARE YOUR BEST SCENARIO
Send us your own scenario and maybe you will be awarded with a prize for it. The Game Master challenges you to send in your best scenario. If you want to make it very realistic and add some atmosphere to it by linking a scenario to an actual mission by special ops, we and the fans of Countdown special ops are really interested to see it. Share your new mission by mail, on the BGG page of Countdown or the Facebook page of The Game Master.

When and where can I get it?
Countdown special ops will be released in october 2013. The retail price in Europe will be a very competitive price of only EUR 29,95. It should be available in these shops, but make sure to give them a call or send them an e-mail before the release date. Check your local shop for more information about this great new title and make sure to reserve your own copy in time! The first release could become sold out quite fast. Don't say we didn't warn you! If you are also convinced that this game is a sure buy, just post it on BGG and send us an e-mail with your name, the city you live in and your country. We will make sure that your request will be transferred to our potential partners in your country. The more requests we get, the better the chances that you will be able to buy the game for you and your friends in the shop around the corner!!
